Accrediation

To maintain programmatic accreditation with CAAHEP, Santa Fe College will transition from a certificate program in surgical technology to an Associate in Science in Surgical Services. All applicants should be aware that the next offering of the program is scheduled for the fall semester of 2024 in the A.S. degree format.

Bachelor Degrees

Four-year degrees for students building the foundation for a lifelong career. Degree offerings are specifically designed to meet the workforce needs in North Central Florida.

A.S. Degrees

Two-year degrees for students training to enter the workforce with a competitive skill set. Credits earned for most A.S. degrees can be applied towards an SF's bachelor's degree. See advisor for details.

Certificates

Career and Technical Certificate (C.T.C.) and College Credit Certificate (C.C.C.) programs are often paired with paid apprenticeships and many can be competed in six months. Credits earned with C.C.C.s can be applied towards SF's A.S. and bachelor's degrees.

A.A. Degree

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) is the degree that prepares students to transfer to a four-year college or university. Florida Statute 1007.23 guarantees every A.A. graduate from the Florida College System will be granted admission to a state university.

Sciences for Health Programs (SHP)

If you are wishing to enter the health care field, SHP provides the required pre-requisite courses. SHP prepares students for successful admission to and completion of their chosen Health Science Program by providing a comprehensive health core and science foundation tailored to the curriculum requirements of myriad Health Science Programs.
