Before you start your program, review the following considerations and notices that will be required of you in order to participate in an Education program.

Disclosures
Teacher Dispositions
As students progress through their program of study, each is expected to demonstrate their mastery of professional dispositions to teach. These are the values, actions, attitudes, and beliefs of educators as they facilitate student learning and interact with families, the community, and colleagues.
Education programs faculty members have taken these dispositions from the InTASC Core Teaching Standards.
Failure to demonstrate mastery can result in program exit.
Previous Program/Good Standing Procedure, Academic Misconduct Disclosure
Applicants previously enrolled in a education-related program but did not complete it, must be in good standing with their former program prior to application to any Education Programs. Previous Program/Good Standing documentation will be required before any final decision is made regarding acceptance to the program. Applicants not in good standing, or otherwise unable to return to their previous program, may be ineligible for selection.
Additionally, applicants must declare any reported academic dishonesty or misconduct incidents at an educational institution. A panel comprising of Education faculty, staff and administrators will review incidents of academic dishonesty or misconduct to determine eligibility to participate in a Education Programs. Failure to disclose incidents of academic dishonesty or misconduct will result in the application to program being voided.
Financial Aid Consultation
Students who are receiving financial aid and have accumulated more than 45 credit hours in coursework prior to entrance to the program must consult with the SF Financial Aid Office prior to accepting a position in the program in order to determine funding eligibility. Background Screenings
Completion of all Early Childhood Education programs requires practicum/internship at an Early Learning Center. To become employed or volunteer with children in Early Learning Centers and the school system, you must pass a Level 2 background screening. You must not have been arrested with disposition pending or found guilty of, regardless of adjudication, or entered a plea of nolo contender or guilty to or have been adjudicated delinquent and the record has not been sealed or expunged for, any offense prohibited under any of the following provisions of the Florida Statutes or under any similar statute of another jurisdiction for any of the offenses listed below: Statutes & Constitution :View Statutes : Online Sunshine (state.fl.us).
