Isakson and Roe Section 1018
Overview
Johnny Isakson and David P. Roe, M.D. Veterans Health Care and Benefits Improvement Act of 2020 is designed to ensure that educational institutions approved for VA education benefits meet certain requirements. These requirements are put in place to protect the rights and interests of veterans and other eligible individuals who are pursuing education and training under these benefits.
The Office of Financial Aid calculates an estimated cost of attendance for student financial aid applicants based on federal student aid guidance.
Cost of attendance estimates vary based on enrollment level each semester and a variety of other factors and consists of direct costs (expenses paid directly to the school) and indirect costs (expenses incurred while in school).
Cost of Attendance
Before a covered individual's enrollment in a course, we are committed to providing personalized information about the course. This includes:
- The estimated total cost of the course and living expenses for students enrolled in the course.
- The amount of the costs that are covered by veteran educational assistance provided to the individual.
- An estimate of the amount of student loan debt the individual would have upon graduation.

Transfer Credit Policy
Before a covered individual enrolls in a course, our institution is committed to providing personalized information about our policy on the acceptance of transfer credits. This includes:
- How we evaluate and accept transfer credits from other educational institutions.
- How we evaluate and accept military credits, which could be earned from military training or service.
We aim to ensure that every student has a clear understanding of how their prior academic and military experience can contribute to their educational journey with us, helping them to plan their course of study more efficiently and potentially save time and resources.
