Overview
Students using VA educational benefits who have already attended classes at SF must complete these steps prior to each semester of enrollment to ensure the continuation of their benefits.
- Register for your next semester classes and print out your schedule
- Submit a new Request for Enrollment Certification
Monthly verification
Ch. 30, 1606 and 1607 students are responsible for verifying their own enrollment at the end of each month. You must do this to get your benefit check for school attendance the previous month. Contact the VA Regional Processing Office each month by phone at 1-877-823-2378 or gibill.va.gov/wave. Ch. 33 recipients do not need to verify monthly until further notice.
Enrollment Verification Step by Step Process
Vocational Certificate clock hour program monthly verification
All students that are enrolled in a vocational certificate program that is measured in clock hours must verify your monthly enrollment to continue those benefits. Students must attend a minimum of 80% of class time in a calendar month or they will be terminated from their VA benefits for unsatisfactory attendance.
This Attendance Form is required to be completed by your instructor and must be turned in to the VMSS office at the end of every month. Failure to do so will result in termination of your benefits.
