Welcome to the Counseling and Wellness Center

Need to talk to someone about personal concerns? The Counseling and Wellness Center provides short-term, solution-focused counseling to SF students free of charge, as well as crisis intervention, outreach and consultation. The Center is part of the Trauma Response Team at Santa Fe College which provides needed comfort to SF students, faculty, staff and families in times of crisis. Counselors also assist students, faculty and staff identify other services in the college and in the community that may be helpful.

In addition to its participation in events such as Safe Spring Break and numerous awareness events, the Counseling and Wellness Center also offers hour long QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training designed to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training to students and staff.  

Our Services

All Counseling and Wellness Center services are located in Building R, Room 227 (above Financial Aid).

  • Mental health counseling (using an equity-minded, interculturally-sensitive, and social justice framework), for students dealing with a wide range of personal, academic and career issues
  • Telemental health counseling and face to face counseling

  • Outreach and education events and programming promoting Counseling and Wellness Center services to Santa Fe College and Gainesville communities
  • Consultation to campus faculty and staff
