Placement and Assessment Center

Important Update

The Placement and Assessment Center is located in Building K, Room 05. We are open for on-site testing. Everyone must bring photo ID to test. Please contact us at test.center@sfcollege.edu or 352-395-5791.

Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (with the exception of when the college is closed).

All tests must be started with enough time to complete them before the Center closes (e.g., a two-hour test must be started by 2:30 p.m. so that someone can finish by closing time).

PERT, ACCUPLACER, FCLE, ALEKS, and CHEMISTRY placement exams are available on a walk-in basis.

CLEP, VUE, and SCANTRON are by appointment only.

Exams Offered

We offer college placement tests such as the PERT, ALEKS, and Accuplacer Next Gen, which includes the Advanced Algebra + Functions (AAF) test, as well as Kaplan, Critical Thinking, TABE, Florida Civic Literacy Exam, and Chemistry placement tests. These tests are offered on a walk-in basis during the hours listed above. A government-issued picture ID is required (driver's license, Florida ID, military ID, or passport). We are also happy to proctor tests for non-Santa Fe College students who need to take exams for online courses; please view our rules for more information about this process. Detailed information for all the exams we offer can be found on the Exams Offered page.

We are currently offering remote proctoring for the PERT, Accuplacer, ALEKS, and Chemistry placement exams. If you prefer the remote testing option, please email us at test.center@sfcollege.edu along with your student ID so that we can schedule your test. When using the remote option, please note that you will need a working computer with reliable internet access, a webcam, and a quiet place to test. You will not be able to complete tests using your phone or tablet. For some students, it may be quicker and easier to come to the Northwest Campus or one of our Centers to take your placement tests.

Student Resources

Below is a list of online resources for students taking the Accuplacer, PERT and/or AAF exam.
