Public Service Loan Forgiveness
Santa Fe College is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Employees can possibly qualify under this program for their student loan(s) to be forgiven. Santa Fe College Fee Waivers
Fee waivers are offered to eligible full-time and part-time faculty and staff. Dependents and spouses of eligible full-time employees are also eligible for waivers. Employees are responsible for books, lab and activity fees. Courses taken during working hours must be approved by the employee's supervisor. A memo stating when time missed will be made up must be signed by the supervisor and submitted to Human Resources with the fee waiver. Employee and dependent fee waivers are available upon request to human.resources@sfcollege.edu. UF/SF Employee Exchange Program (UF Waiver)
Eligible full-time and part-time faculty and staff may apply each semester for credit hour waivers subject to UF approval. Dependents and spouses of qualified full-time employees may also apply for credit hour waivers each semester subject to UF approval and based on availability after disbursement of employee requests.
A complete professional development scholarship application and any required documentation must be submitted to Human Resources by the application deadline. In certain instances, exceptions to the application deadline may be granted by the PDSF Committee. The PDSF Committee will review and approve applications as appropriate. Upon completion of approved coursework, the employee must submit his/her official grade report to be eligible for the following semester.
Professional Development Scholarship Reimbursement Program
Eligible full-time employees may apply for the scholarship reimbursement program. This program awards a predetermined monetary scholarship to be reimbursed upon successful completion of preapproved course work from accredited educational institution. Employees must submit a complete professional development scholarship application and any required attachments to Human Resources by the application deadline. In certain instances, exceptions to the application deadline may be granted by the PDSF Committee. The PDSF Committee will review and approve applications as appropriate. Upon completion of approved coursework, the employee must submit his/her official grade report and proof of payment to Human Resources for reimbursement. Employees who terminate employment prior to the end of the semester are not eligible for reimbursement.
The Carole Marquis Professional Development Scholarship Fund
The Carole Marquis Professional Development Scholarship Fund exists to promote the professional growth and advanced education of Santa Fe College Senate members. Scholarship awards may be used for books, lab fees, and/or course-related supplies and materials.
Career Service Council Scholarship Award
The Career Service Council promotes the growth and advancement of Career Service employees who are pursuing degrees of higher education at various learning institutions. Career Service Council Scholarships are granted for credit or Career and Technical Certificate (C.T.C.) courses. The scholarship award may be used for books, land/or course related supplies/materials to assist Career Service employees as they continue their education.
AFC Scholarship
The Santa Fe College chapter of AFC promotes the growth and advancement of AFC members who are pursuing degrees of higher education at various learning institutions. The Santa Fe College AFC chapter will award scholarships in the amount of $150 to chapter members who meet the criteria listed below. The scholarship awards may be used for books, lab fees and/or course related supplies/materials to assist AFC member as they continue their education. Note: Applicant must be an AFC member.
