Overview
The International Ergonomics Association(Opens in new window) defines ergonomics as
the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.
If you would like to assess the ergonomics of your work area, contact the Safety and Risk Management Coordinator for access to an online self-assessment tool. If you feel additional help is needed after using this tool and implementing any recommendations, contact the Safety and Risk Management Coordinator .
If you have a physician's note requesting an ergonomic assessment of your work station, forward it to the Safety and Risk Management Coordinator.
