Research in Undergraduate Education

Welcome to RUE

Santa Fe College defines research as creativity-, discovery-, or inquiry-based learning that leads students to new scholarly insights or the creation of new artistic work, which is then effectively communicated back to their community.

Research can be both/either: Curriculum based or under the direction of a faculty researcher at SF or UF, collaborative or individual, or discipline based only or interdisciplinary.

The Research in Undergraduate Education Committee hosts a Research and Creative Scholarly Projects Festival every spring highlighting research done by Santa Fe Students. Th 2024 festival will be held April 22.

Together with the Research in Undergraduate Education initiative, the Perry Center hosts a three-day STEM Fest annually in November. Santa Fe College students and area high schools are invited to display posters showcasing their accomplishments in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and math). Each evening the fest features a guest speaker from a STEM discipline.
