Overview

The Perry Center offers a wide variety of community programs that cater to diverse learning styles and environments.

College For Kids

The College For Kids (CFK) program is organized by Santa Fe Colleges' Community Education and is designed as an academic program, offering students challenging, fun, hands-on learning experiences beyond the ordinary school environment. See current CFK offerings at the Perry Center.

School Tours

The Perry Center provides tours for middle and high schools on request. Additionally, high school biotechnology classes are invited to spend the day working with faculty on specialized techniques. Please call 352-381-3750 to schedule a tour.

STEM Summer Camp

This program is dedicated to rising ninth graders (eighth into ninth grade) in Alachua and Bradford counties. Students in the Summer STEM Camp develop their joy of learning in a safe and nurturing environment. This is a wonderful FREE opportunity for students to come and explore the world around them while having lots of fun, engaging in interactive learning projects.

STEM Fest

An annual industry event for the program students to highlight their research. It is usually held two evenings in November and includes guest speakers.

GRRATE

The SF Centers received an ATE grant in July 2018 for three STEM-related programs. The Andrews Center is the host of the Robotics course “Wide World of Science” ISC10006.0S1 which launched Fall 2019. Learn about programming and providing the tools to inspire the problem solvers of tomorrow with the use of educational robotic solutions. Fun, hands-on learning with VEX Robotics.
