Law Student Externship

If you are a current law student at the University of Florida's Levin College of Law or another accredited law school, we offer academic externships throughout the year. These opportunities provide invaluable work experience in higher education, where you will enjoy hands-on training with our General Counsel and other attorneys on staff. General Counsel Externship

Externs working with the General Counsel may have the following opportunities: legal research and writing on a variety of topics, including employment law, constitutional issues, policies and procedures, student records, public records, contract law, and other issues relating to higher education law. Externs are also encouraged to attend client meetings when appropriate.

Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinator Externship

Externs working with the SF Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinator may have the following opportunities: legal research and writing on a variety of topics, including policy and procedure requirements, current legal trends in the civil rights and institutional equity arenas, drafting and review of secondary materials for community use, and the occasional participation in investigatory planning and interviews when appropriate.
