Santa Fe College is Monitoring Tropical Storm Milton

Santa Fe College is monitoring the track of Tropical Storm Milton, which is expected to gain strength and become a major hurricane (Category 3 or higher) before making landfall somewhere along Florida's west coast. As of the 8 a.m. report from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Milton has sustained winds of 60 mph and is moving east at 5 mph. The National Hurricane Center is forecasting the storm to become a hurricane late Sunday night or early Monday morning and move across the Florida peninsula throughout the day Wednesday.
Santa Fe College has activated the Emergency Management Team and will continue to provide all official updates from the college on the SF Alerts webpage. The next update will be published by noon Monday, October 7.
