Hurricane Milton to Make Landfall Tonight

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Florida's west coast late tonight or early Thursday morning. The National Hurricane Center has reported that as of 2 p.m., Hurricane Milton is a major Category 4 storm, with sustained winds of 130 mph. The storm is traveling north-northeast at 16 mph. Current forecasts are projecting landfall near Bradenton or Sarasota, Florida.

Santa Fe College remains closed today and tomorrow as the storm passes. Our area should expect tropical storm force winds and heavy rain throughout the day today and into tomorrow morning.
