International Opportunities
Overview
You don't have to study abroad to be involved in international opportunities at Santa Fe College. The Office of International Education (OIE) hosts several international lectures, events, virtual exchanges, and global photography contests on campus every semester that are open to all SF students, faculty and staff.
To broaden global perspectives while attending SF, students are encouraged to participate in the Global Scholars Program, an academic honor earned by completing courses with strong international content and engaging in activities that broaden your understanding of international peoples, places and cultures.
Events
OIE hosts and is represented at many events each semester. These events are great opportunities for students to learn about international activities and how to get involved in them.
Global Conversations Café Series
Join us each week on Wednesdays at 12:30pm in S-329 or via Zoom for a Global Conversations Café (GCC)!
Each week will feature different global topics, grab-and-go global goodie bags to match the week's theme, and great conversation.
We will allow a limited number of students to join in person, and everyone is welcome to join virtually. If you are interested, please Register for the dates you would like to join. Once you register, you will receive more information about each GCC you signed up for and how to join.
We Are Global Citizens Fest
Join us for a week filled with international education events to celebrate the importance of cultural and global understanding. The week will feature various types of events, lectures, and other types of activities. You can find a list of and register for the ones you are interested in by clicking the sign up form link below.
Note: Each event is worth Global Scholars Program activity points.
International Virtual Exchanges
OIE offers a number of international virtual exchange opportunities for students to participate in each semester. These exchanges connect SF students to international students in countries like Ukraine, Brazil, Indonesia, and more. They are wonderful opportunities to learn about new cultures, share your own culture, and develop useful global skills like cross-cultural communication.

All of virtual exchanges are worth Global Scholars Program activity points.
