Community Programs

Overview

The Blount Center offers a wide variety of community programs that cater to diverse learning styles and environments.

GRRATE

Guitars, Rocketry, Robotics Advanced Technological Education (GRRATE) is a project funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Through innovative project-based learning, GRRATE helps students gain the competencies and self-efficacy needed to succeed in STEM fields.

Business Incubators

Santa Fe College's Center for Innovation and Economic Development (CIED) offers business incubation services to support entrepreneurs and accelerate the success of local startup companies. Early stage companies partnering with SF have access to valuable business support and networking opportunities.

Community Ed

Choose from a wide variety of recreation and leisure non-credit classes to learn a new skill or advance your current knowledge level in the activities you already enjoy. Community Education is open to everyone, so you don’t need to be a Santa Fe College student or staff.

Continuing Ed

Continuing Education provides educational opportunities through innovative programs that serve the professional development and workforce needs of our community. With specialized training to reach career goals and cutting-edge training for employees, Continuing Education offers a wide variety of courses in a classroom or online format.

Food Pantry

Focused on reducing food insecurity, hunger, and poverty among our local students, the Blount Center currently has two food pantries on campus: at the Student Services desk of both DB building (Blount Hall) and DC building. The Grab-and-Go Food Pantry is open to everyone in the SF community who have limited food choices due to finances or who simply cannot afford food at all. The pantry consists of weekly contributions of perishable food items from Publix stores and other area food banks. These items must be distributed within 48 hours. Recipients are asked to only take one or two items at a time. Additionally, non-perishable food items can be made available upon request for SF students and employees experiencing hardship.
