The Santa Fe College Police Department (SFPD) offers various services to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff, but safety is a shared responsibility.
Run, Hide, Fight
Safety information, including the college's Emergency Procedures, is available on the SF Safety and Risk Management webpage. The six-minute "Run, Hide, Fight" video explains how to respond in an active shooter situation, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing personal safety and escaping harm.
See Something, Say Something
The SFPD encourages the college community to report suspicious activity through the See Something, Say Something initiative. If any behavior suggests violence or poses a threat, call 911 or contact the SFPD at 352-395-5555 immediately.
Additional Steps for Safety
Students should verify their emergency contact details in eSantaFe, while employees can check theirs in Workday. The SFPD also recommends downloading the Safe Santa Fe app for emergency updates and safety information.
The SFPD, located in Building T on the Northwest Campus, operates 24/7. For emergencies, call 352-395-5555 or dial 911. For non-emergencies, contact 352-395-5519.
