November 12, 2024
The Santa Fe Saints faced a challenging weekend in Niceville, Florida, at the Raider Classic, dropping two games before bouncing back with a win on Veterans Day.
On Friday evening, the Saints squared off against the host school, Northwest Florida State College. SF held a slim one-point lead heading into the second quarter, but the Raiders plundered the court, securing a 62-30 victory.
Saturday afternoon, the Saints took on Pensacola State College for the second time this season. The Pirates came out strong, taking an early lead in the first quarter and never looked back, securing a 73-52 win over the Saints.
However, the Saints rebounded on Veterans Day, delivering an impressive 69-66 win over Tallahassee State College. Fueled by a strong third quarter, SF surged past Tallahassee to secure their second win of the season.
The Saints look to build on their victory when they return to action this Saturday, Nov. 16, against Gulf Coast State College. The non-conference home game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
