Students May Be Eligible for Course Retake Scholarship

Students may be eligible for a Santa Fe College Retake Scholarship! Students who meet all the eligibility criteria have an opportunity to retake the same course(s) once at SF for no additional cost.
Eligibility Criteria
- Were awarded Financial Aid for Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 and
- Earned a D, F or W in the Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 course work and
- Did not opt for an I (incomplete) grade in that coursework and
- Had any financial aid (such as Pell, Bright Futures, Loans, Scholarships or Grants) disbursement in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 after the cut-off date(s) listed below by term.

| These dates are used to determine eligibility for the Retake Scholarship; Financial aid continues to disburse after these dates for eligible students, in accordance with federal and institutional processing timelines. | |
Through this Retake Scholarship, Santa Fe College will cover the tuition and fees for eligible retakes at Santa Fe College in Summer 2025 or Fall 2025. (For special cases, courses that will not be offered again at SF until Spring 2026 will be considered for the Retake Scholarship.)
Next Steps
- Complete the Retake Scholarship Application before May 20, 2025 for Summer 2025 classes, by September 3, 2025 for Fall 2025 classes, and by January 15, 2026 (for Spring 2026 courses that were not offered in Summer or Fall 2025).
- If the retake is your third attempt for the course(s), then you must also submit a third attempt fee reduction appeal by May 9th 2025 for Summer 2025 classes, by August 22, 2025 for Fall 2025 Classes, and by January 6, 2026 (for Spring 2026 courses that were not offered in Summer or Fall 2025).
- If the retake is your fourth attempt for the course(s), then you must also submit a fourth attempt appeal by May 9th 2025 for Summer 2025 classes, by August 22, 2025 for Fall 2025 Classes, and by January 6, 2026 (for Spring 2026 courses that were not offered in Summer or Fall 2025).
