SANTA FE SAINTS KNOCK OFF #1 PANOLA, ADVANCE TO SEMIFINALS OF NJCAA TOURNAMENT

For the second time on day one of the NJCAA National Tournament, the Santa Fe Saints were victorious, this time against the #1 team in the nation Panola College (31-3). The victory advances the Saints into the final four of the tournament, joining two other teams from Florida: Polk State and Miami Dade, along with Iowa Western CC.
Nadine Williams was again a force for the #8 Saints (19-11), recording a game high 19 kills and seven digs.
Santa Fe dropped the first set 25-22, but bounced back in a big way to win the next three sets, capping off a historic first day at the NJCAA Tournament. SF won sets two and three 25-23, and gave themselves a little more breathing room in the fourth set, pulling out a 25-21 win.
Santa Fe will now face Miami Dade College on Friday, November 18 at 8:30 p.m. EST in a rematch of the FCSAA State Championship game. Fans can watch live at www.njcaatv.com
