Community and SF Advocates to Be Honored at First Pillars of Service Awards May 23

April 14, 2025

All are invited to join the Santa Fe College Foundation honoring outstanding members of the community at the inaugural Pillars of Service Awards luncheon, presented by Teal Tile Carpet One, on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Set for 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center, Pillars of Service was created to recognize individuals, organizations and Santa Fe College students who have made significant impacts on the college and community in Alachua and Bradford counties.

Tickets and sponsorships are now available.

This year’s event will honor:

  • Climb for Cancer Foundation, created by Ron and Dianne Farb, whose events and advocacy have supported numerous individuals with cancer and their families. They also created the B. Dianne Farb Healthcare Education Scholarship for students with a cancer diagnosis.
  • Chuck Kramer, owner, WEAG 106.3, long-time Bradford County advocate, and co-founder with his wife, Mary, of the Danielle Kramer Memorial Scholarship at Santa Fe College.
  • Hector Puig, Hector Picture Framing and Gallery, whose large donation of artwork is filling the halls of Santa Fe College.
  • Kristina Ramer, Gainesville writer and editor, who is voluntarily cataloging the Hector Puig collection.
  • Katie Bellanger, Santa Fe College student, whose advocacy has led to greater accessibility for those with disabilities at Santa Fe College and in the community.

Pillars of Service also will support a $250,000 fund-raising initiative launched in 2024 for program enhancements, state-of-the-art equipment and scholarships.

The Santa Fe College Foundation was created in 1969 to provide philanthropic support to Santa Fe College students and programs.
