Fuchs and the no. 1 Saints move to 2-0 in MFC

Santa Fe sophomore opposite Julie Fuchs led a balanced Saints effort Thursday night in Gainesville as SF improved to 2-0 in conference play with a straight set win over Florida State College-Jacksonville.
Fuchs led all players with 11 kills and freshman Nadine Williams followed with 10.
SF (14-2, 2-0 MFC) had 15 kills in each of the first two sets, and in the third set
their defense really shined, holding the Blue Wave to just four kills and a -0.040
hitting percentage. Williams racked up another double-double, adding a team high 13
digs.
As a team, Santa Fe had six service aces, 41 digs, and 40 assists, led by Farah Rajaee's
23.
The FCSAA #1/NJCAA #9 Saints will play another home conference match on Tuesday, September
29, this time against Daytona State College at 6 p.m.
