Community Programs

Overview

The Andrews Center offers a wide variety of community programs that cater to diverse learning styles and environments.

College for Kids

Summer programs for rising 1st through 4th graders and rising 5th through 9th graders include Jr. College for Kids, College for Kids, and Exploring Science for both groups. In addition, there are Art Classes and LEGO Robotics programs for youth aged 8-14. GRRATE

The SF Centers received an ATE grant in July 2018 for three STEM-related programs. The Andrews Center is the host of the Robotics course “Wide World of Science” ISC10006.0S1 which launched Fall 2019. Learn about programming and providing the tools to inspire the problem solvers of tomorrow with the use of educational robotic solutions. Fun, hands-on learning with VEX Robotics.

Upward Bound

The Upward Bound (UB) program is housed at the Andrews Center and focuses on students grade 9-12 at Bradford High School who are potential first-generation college students and meet federal income guideline requirements. UB offers field trips to different colleges, counseling, help with preparation for college, tutoring and summer enrichment programs.
