Guaranteed Transfer Programs

Overview

Florida's statewide articulation agreement guarantees that all students who earn an Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree at a public college in the state will be granted admission to one of the 12 public universities in Florida. In addition to this statewide articulation agreement, Santa Fe College maintains several direct articulation agreements with the University of Florida, University of North Florida, Florida A&M University, New College of Florida, University of South Florida, University of West Florida and the University of the Virgin Islands. All of these direct articulation agreements guarantee Santa Fe College students admission to these partner universities.

Strong partners with Santa Fe College, UF enrolls more transfer students from SF than any other college in the Florida College System. UF has guaranteed transfer programs and a new Going Gator guaranteed admission agreement.

  • Complete an Admissions Application to Santa Fe College (if you haven't already done so).
  • Select UF as your intended transfer institution in the SF degree audit or see an Academic Advisor to assist you.
  • Select one of the Going Gator majors as your advisement track
  • Complete the Going Gator program application.

Maintaining Eligibility

Once admitted to the Going Gator program, you must continue to meet the following eligibility criteria

  • Maintain good academic standing and meet SF's Standards of Academic Progress toward your A.A. degree.
  • Adhere to all UF degree and admission requirements.
  • Adhere to the SF Student Conduct Code.
  • Apply for transfer into one of the Going Gator majors within UF’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences beginning Summer B 2025 or later. NOTE: UF Online programs are not included in the Going Gator agreement.
  • Students admitted to UF through the Going Gator program are not eligible to change majors after they transfer.

The University of North Florida and Santa Fe College have worked together to create the SF2UNF Program to provide SF students with guaranteed admission into UNF.

Once you are accepted into the SF2UNF program, you will complete the Associate in Arts degree at Santa Fe College and meet the required academic requirements for UNF, then you will easily transfer to UNF to earn your bachelor's degree.

The University of North Florida or UNF, is a public university in Jacksonville, Florida. UNF has been honored as one of the best colleges in the southeast, ranking highly for offering many study abroad opportunities and for promoting diversity and inclusion on campus.

#Ignite

Highest ranked public HBCU (for three consecutive years), S.T.E.A.M majors welcome. Also located in the state capital.

Florida A&M University and Santa Fe College have worked together to create the Ignite Program to provide SF students with guaranteed admission into FAMU. Once you are accepted into the Ignite program, you will complete the Associate in Arts degree at Santa Fe College and meet the required academic requirements for Florida A&M, then you will easily transfer to FAMU and earn your bachelor's degree.

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, commonly known as Florida A&M University or FAMU, is a public university in Tallahassee, Florida. FAMU was founded on the highest of seven hills in Tallahassee on Oct. 3, 1887.

The university offers 62 bachelor's degrees in 103 majors. Thirty-six master's degrees with 56 majors are offered within 11 of the university's 13 schools and colleges. Two professional degrees and 11 Ph.D. degree programs are offered. In 2015, Florida A&M was ranked the No. 3 college in the U.S. by the Social Mobility Index college rankings.

Currently, there are over 9,000 undergraduate students attending FAMU and just over 2,000 graduate level students. Also, the in-state tuition is just over $5,700.

To qualify for the Ignite program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete an Admissions Application to Santa Fe College (if you have not already done so).
  • Enter SF with fewer than 15 credit hours (unless excess credit is from Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, or International Baccalaureate programs).
  • Have not completed a bachelor's degree, nor earned more than 30 credit hours toward an Associate in Arts degree.
  • Demonstrate college readiness by providing SAT/ACT or PERT scores, or by having college level credit for math and English through successful completion of DE, AP, IB, AICE, or CLEP.
  • Select FAMU as your intended transfer institution in the SF degree audit or see an Academic Advisor to assist you.
  • Complete the Ignite program application below.

Maintaining Eligibility

Once admitted to the Ignite program, you must continue to meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • Maintain good academic standing and meet SF's Standards of Academic Progress.
  • Adhere to FAMU degree and admission requirements including, but not limited to academic planning, and meeting with advisors to review milestones and GPA requirements.
  • Maintain enrollment at SF at least six credit hours per term (excluding summer) until completion of the Associate in Arts degree.
  • Adhere to the SF Student Conduct Code.

Connect4Success (C4S) is a guided transfer pathway that helps students transition seamlessly to FIU. By enrolling in C4S, you can attend any Florida public or community college and get automatic admission to FIU at the end of your A.A.

Anyone planning to earn their A.A., whether you’re a high school graduate or a college student, can sign up for C4S. Apply for FIU admission before you reach 30 credit hours at Santa Fe College. Once you earn your A.A., you’re on your way to FIU.

  • Select a program of study for which an NCF pathway is developed (Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Marine Biology, Psychology or Undeclared Area of Concentration)
  • Meet with an academic advisor at SF

Maintaining Eligibility

Once admitted to the Guaranteed Admission Program through NCF Transform, you must continue to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.00
  • Complete your A.A. degree within 3.5 years.
  • Adhere to all NCF degree and admission requirements.
  • Adhere to the standards of both the SF and NCF Student Conduct Code and Honors Code.

Fastest-rising university in America; Over 200 majors, minors and concentrations.

The University of South Florida System and Santa Fe College have worked together to create the Fuse Program to provide SF students with guaranteed admission into USF.

Once you are accepted into the Fuse, you will complete the Associate in Arts degree at Santa Fe College and meet the required academic requirements for USF, then you will easily transfer to USF to earn your bachelor's degree.

The University of South Florida, or USF, is a large, public four-year university offering undergraduate, graduate, specialist and doctoral level degrees. The USF has three campuses: Tampa; USF St. Petersburg; and USF Sarasota-Manatee. Serving more than 49,000 students, the USF has an annual budget of $1.6 billion and is ranked 41st in the nation for research expenditures among all universities, public or private.

  • Have earned no more than 30 credit hours towards an Associate in Arts degree.
  • Have a college level reading, writing, and math placement or demonstrate the ability to complete the Associate in Arts degree in three years or less.
  • Complete the Fuse application.

Once admitted to Fuse, you must continue to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Maintain good academic standing and meet SF's Standards of Academic Progress toward your A.A. or A.S. degree.
  • Meet Fuse "Graduation Path" progression requirements for GPA, prerequisite course completion, and continuous enrollment.

The 2UWF program is designed to facilitate the direct admission to UWF of students who have completed their studies at the associate degree level at SF. Students enrolled in the SF2UW program will receive the following benefits from UWF while pursuing their A.A. degree at SF:

  • Continue enrollment in at least six credits at SF each semester (excluding summers), until they earn their associate's degree and transition to UWF, and
  • Maintain satisfactory Standards of Academic Progress as per SF criteria.

University of the Virgin Islands

Study in the Caribbean among a diverse community of students! Undergraduate and graduate programs.

This partnership guarantees Santa Fe College (SF) graduates who earn an Associate in Arts and complete required prerequisite courses admission to UVI to earn a bachelor's degree in select STEM fields. The SF to UVI articulation agreement is an expansion of the Florida-Caribbean Louis Stokes Regional Center of Excellence efforts to broaden participation in STEM led by both SF and UVI.

While students who graduate with an A.A. from a Florida College System institution are guaranteed admission to a state university in Florida, the SF to UVI partnership provides SF graduates a seamless pathway to unique STEM programs in an environment that allows students to utilize research to study issues and challenges related to natural resource management in the Caribbean region.

Founded in 1962, UVI is a public, co-ed, land-grant HBCU (Historically Black College and University) in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI). Approximately 2,500 students are enrolled on the two campuses: the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix and the St. Thomas campus. The institution offers 47 undergraduate and graduate degree programs across its five colleges and schools. Excess Credit Hours

Students intending to transfer to one of these universities should not exceed the maximum number of credit hours recommended by the state for a baccalaureate degree at a state university. Otherwise, they may be forced to pay an Excess Credit Hour Surcharge upon transfer.
