Business Administration - Management, A.S.

Program Overview

Anyone who works in an organization —not just managers— would gain valuable insight if they knew how organizations work and understood the behaviors of their boss and coworkers. There's no prototype or standard criteria as to who can be a manager. Some hold top-level management jobs while others are supervisors or team leaders. However, all managers share one common element: They work in an organizational setting. When it comes to managing, much of what passes for common sense knowledge is just plain misguided or even wrong. By completing a degree in management, you might be surprised when you gain insights that are based on extensive research, which often dispel the myths about management. An education in business management allows graduates to work in large corporations, government agencies, hospitals, museums, schools, and not-for-profit enterprises, administrative support, Many even go on to create and lead their own company. A business administration degree is ranked as one of the most popular degrees in the U.S., and it also is popular among employers looking for leaders.

Our Associate in Science in Business Administration - Management is a 60-credit hour program that prepares students for the local, national, and global business environment, as well as preparing them for transfer to Bachelors programs at Santa Fe College as well as other State Colleges. It includes classes in management, economics, marketing, international business, insurance, statistics, employment law, business law, accounting, public speaking, computer software, writing, human resources, and leadership/supervision. The program adds value for students by teaching communication, critical and analytical thinking, as well as collaboration. Your degree will culminate with a 3-credit hour internship that will provide hands-on experience in a professional work environment. As an added bonus, Business Administration students get networking opportunities in the professional community, and participate in Study Abroad programs.

There are no Admissions requirements for this program.

If a student is not at college level, they would take the prep classes before beginning the program courses, but could still be admitted.

Students can pursue two programs at the same time, such as an A.S. degree and an A.A. degree, or a primary degree and an alternate degree.

All tuition and fees are estimated costs and subject to change without notice.
