Notice of Non Discrimination under Title IX
Consistent with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Santa Fe College does not discriminate against students, faculty or staff based on sex in any of its programs or activities, including but not limited to educational programs, employment, and admission. Sexual harassment, including sexual violence, is a kind of sex discrimination and is prohibited by Title IX and by the college. Santa Fe College is committed to responding promptly and effectively when it learns of any form of possible discrimination based on sex. Santa Fe College responds to reports of sexual harassment, including sexual violence, as part of its efforts to stop the harassment and prevent its recurrence of possible sex discrimination.

Title IX Training
The U.S. Department of Education’s latest Title IX Regulations, which took effect August 14, 2020, require institutions to publish all materials used to train Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinators, investigators, decision-makers, and any person who facilitates an informal resolution process. Santa Fe College uses training materials provided by the State University of New York’s Student Conduct Institute, which can be found on their website.

The Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinator is committed to addressing complaints of sex discrimination in our community. The Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinator:
- Can help arrange interim measures and help understand rules 2.8 and 2.8P. You can learn about these options with or without filing a complaint.
- Is trained to handle sensitive information with discretion. Although not a confidential resource, they respect and protect privacy to the greatest extent possible, sharing information only on a need-to-know basis.
What are my reporting options?
- You can report any concerns about sexual harassment to your Equal Opportunity Officer and Title IX Coordinator.
- Anyone who wishes to report an allegation of sexual violence (including sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking) has options:

What if I see behavior that make me concerned for my safety or for another’s safety?
Santa Fe College is committed to providing a safe learning environment. We call on members of our community to do their part to keep Santa Fe Safe.
If you see behavior that indicates a potential for violence or threatens anyone at or on Santa Fe College, please dial 911 or call the Santa Fe College Police Department IMMEDIATELY at 352-395-5555 and report the behavior with information including location, date and time, persons involved, descriptions, and witness.
