TRIO Programs

What is TRIO?

TRIO is a variety of federally funded programs designed to help students overcome class, social, and cultural barriers to higher education through support and guidance for college preparation and collegiate success. Santa Fe College offers a variety of TRIO programs aimed at serving income eligible, first-generation, veteran, and non-traditional students.

TRIO programs are administered, funded, and implemented by the United States Department of Education and have served over 850,000 students in more than 2,800 TRIO programs across the country since its establishment by Congress in 1965.

Student Support Services (SSS) for SF Students

SSS programs are designed to help Santa Fe College students succeed by assisting them in navigating the various aspects of college life. SSS scholars have a designated academic coach who can help with academic inquiries, applying for financial aid, free tutoring, personal mentoring, transfer assistance, or connecting with valuable college and community resources.
