Volunteers Needed for Santa Fe College Waste Audit on November 19

November 4, 2024

Santa Fe College has announced a collaboration with Alachua County Waste Alternatives and the Repurpose Project to carry out a waste audit focused on determining the baseline of materials discarded on campus. Scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the audit will take place in Parking Lot 7 behind Building D at the Northwest Campus.

This initiative is part of Santa Fe College's commitment to launching a Zero Waste journey. By examining the types and quantities of waste produced, the college seeks to enhance its understanding of current waste management practices and monitor its progress in waste reduction.

The college invites volunteers to assist with the sorting and categorization of materials during the audit. Those interested in contributing can register online.
