Volunteers Needed for Nov. 19 Waste Audit
October 28, 2024
Santa Fe College is partnering with the Alachua County Waste Alternatives and the Repurpose Project to conduct a waste audit aimed at establishing a baseline for materials discarded on campus. The event will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Parking Lot 7 behind Building D at the Northwest Campus.
The waste audit is part of Santa Fe College’s efforts to embark on a Zero Waste journey. By analyzing the types and amounts of waste generated, the college aims to better understand its current waste management practices and track progress toward reducing waste over time.
The college is actively seeking individuals who can assist with sorting and categorizing materials during the audit. Those interested in participating can register online.
