SF Baseball: Saints Return Home After Doubleheader Split

The Santa Fe Saints traveled to Douglas, Georgia, on Wednesday for a doubleheader against the South Georgia State College Hawks. The Saints secured a late-game victory in the opener but fell short in the second game.
SF edged out South Georgia State 4-3 in the first game, using a late offensive push to take control. Strong pitching and timely hitting helped the Saints claim the win.
SF took an early lead in the second game, scoring two runs in the first inning. South Georgia responded with two runs in the second, tying the game. The Saints regained the lead in the third. However, South Georgia quickly turned the game around with a five-run third inning, taking a 7-4 lead. The Saints fought back but were unable to complete the comeback.
The 3-2 Saints return home on Saturday, February 1 for a doubleheader against South Florida State College starting at noon.
