SF Academy News: Applications, Information Night and More

Santa Fe College's Academy of Science and Technology is accepting applications for current freshmen and sophomores who want to enroll
for the second semester 2025. The student would need to be on track with required
credits. Freshmen would need three total credits and no major discipline issues at
the end of the fall term. Sophomores would need nine total credits, maintain a GPA
of 3.0 or higher, and no major discipline issues at the end of the fall term. Applications
close on Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open for new ninth and tenth graders
on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and will close on Monday, March 3, 2025. Returning students are
not required to apply.
Information Night
An information night session is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Academy (Building G). This session will provide detailed information about the Academy and allow interested applicants and their families to ask important questions.

- High School Diploma: A program that covers general academics and meets Alachua County's educational requirements.
- Industry Certificates: Students can earn certifications in health or computer science fields.
- A.S. Pathways: Opportunities to study fields such as Biotechnology, Surgical Technology, Computer Information Technology and Information Technology Security.
The Academy, which welcomed its first class on August 10, 2023, has embraced a culture of dignity and respect promoted by Santa Fe College. Students have worked together to build a strong community while meeting academic goals.
