Santa Fe College Offers Professional Development Workshops for Fall 2024

October 3, 2024 – Santa Fe College is offering a series of valuable professional development opportunities over the next few months, sponsored by the Human Resources department. These sessions are designed to help participants build essential skills for both personal and professional growth.

October 2024: Microsoft Excel

The first session, focused on Microsoft Excel, will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in C-119 (Northwest Campus). Led by instructor Norman Seavers, this hands-on course will cover numerous shortcuts and tricks for efficiently setting up fully formatted worksheets, writing powerful formulas and using the function wizard for calculations. Participants will also learn tips for sorting and analyzing data, creating custom charts and graphs, and building links between files.

November 2024: Emotional Intelligence

On Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon in B-205 (Northwest Campus), a session on Emotional Intelligence will be held. Participants will explore ways to recognize and manage their emotions, understand their impact on others, and lead teams more effectively by fostering empathy and awareness.

December 2024: Adaptability

The final session, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon in B-205 (Northwest Campus), will focus on Adaptability. This workshop will help participants develop the skills needed to embrace change, adapt quickly to new workflows and respond positively to evolving workplace dynamics.
