Saints Food Share Eases Student Hunger During the Holidays and Beyond

November 12, 2024

The holiday season is often a time filled with joy and celebration, but for some college students, it can also bring challenges like food insecurity. Many students who already face financial strain may find it especially hard to afford enough food during this time.

The Saints Food Share program works to alleviate food insecurity, enhancing students’ lives and fostering a stronger community. Through this program, students can request a tailored supply of groceries—primarily canned and non-perishable goods—and receive these weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on a one-time basis.

Students also have access to grab-and-go pantries, stocked with pre-packaged bags of groceries and snacks, located at several campus sites:

  • Student Life lobby
  • Student Affairs lobby
  • TRIO lobby
  • SF Police Department lobby
  • Blount Center
  • Davis Center
  • Watson Center

While the holiday season can bring food needs into focus, hunger is a challenge throughout the year. Saints Food Share supports students so they can concentrate on their academic and personal growth without worrying about where their next meal will come from.
