Reentry Conference Provides Tools, Support and Stories for a Fresh Start

April 10, 2025

A two-day conference focused on reentry and opportunity will take place April 28 and 29 at Blount Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., offering workshops, resources, and real-life stories for individuals impacted by the justice system and others facing barriers to employment.

The Reentry Partnership Initiative Conference brings together community partners to share information, offer guidance and build connections. Over the course of the event, attendees can take part in breakout sessions covering housing, employment, education and personal well-being. Veterans will also find resources tailored to their needs.

In addition to hands-on sessions, the conference features panel discussions that spotlight employment success stories and highlight the voices of people with lived experience. Attendees will hear directly from individuals who have faced the challenges of reentry, offering both inspiration and practical insight.

More than a dozen local service providers will be on site throughout the event to connect participants with long-term support.

The conference is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged at www.aclib.us/re-entry or by calling 352-334-3929 or 352-334-0160. Walk-ins are also welcome.
