Financial Aid Disbursements Underway at Santa Fe College

October 3, 2024

October 3, 2024 – Santa Fe College has begun disbursements of financial aid funds. This is a methodical process that takes time. SF recognizes that delays in receiving funds may create challenges for some students. The top priority of the Financial Aid Office is to disburse funds as quickly as possible, while complying with all federal rules. In addition, the college has other resources that may be helpful.

Listed are updates on the status of financial aid disbursements and available resources for impacted students:

  • Financial Aid Disbursements: Disbursement dates may vary for individual students due to several factors. Financial aid is being disbursed in batches, meaning all funds will not be disbursed at the same time. Some financial aid accounts require additional steps before funds can be released. The Financial Aid Office is working diligently to process and disburse aid as quickly as possible.
  • Book Charging for B Term: Starting Oct. 3, eligible students enrolled in B term will have a two-week period to charge books and course materials at the SF Bookstore.
  • No Pauses in Financial Aid Disbursements for Book Charging: Financial aid disbursements will continue during the book charging period.
  • Eviction Prevention Emergency Aid: Santa Fe College is offering limited funds of up to $500 for eviction prevention. Students who have been awarded aid and who can provide eviction documentation may be eligible. Payments will be made directly to the property owner. The application for this aid is available at sfcollege.edu/evictionhelp.
  • Food Pantry:Food Pantry items are available for students in need. Students can request a bag of food by emailing foodpantry@sfcollege.edu or by visiting the Student Life lobby in Building S.
