August 28, 2024 – Santa Fe College is a designated member of the First-Gen Forward Network(Opens in new window) because of its ongoing commitment to helping first-generation college students succeed.
All currently employed faculty and staff members who were first-gen college students are invited to self-identify.
We proudly share this information with our first-generation students, who may experience a greater sense of belonging if they know SF faculty and staff share this identity too.
For our purposes, you were a first-generation college student if you attended college at a time when neither of your parents had earned a bachelor's degree.
