Heavy, Flooding Rains Possible in SF Service District

October 11, 2023 – The National Weather Service – Jacksonville(Opens in new window) is reporting that heavy rains and isolated thunderstorms over the next several days could dump four inches of rain across much of the Santa Fe College service district of Alachua and Bradford counties.
Rain is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon, with the heaviest downpours expected between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday. Some storms could include gusty winds and there is a slight risk of the formation of tornadoes in the strongest storms.
All students, faculty and staff should use caution while traveling through the area during the storms.
