SFPD an AXON Rise Award Nominee for Second Straight Year

March 9, 2022 – The Santa Fe College Police Department(Opens in new window) has been nominated for a 2022 Rise Award(Opens in new window) from Axon. It's the second straight year the SFPD has been nominated, this time for a couple of charitable efforts. First is for their partnership with the SF Teaching Zoo for the college's Ghosts Goblins and Groceries food drive(Opens in new window) which collected 5958 canned food items for food-insecure people in our community. The SFPD was also nominated for their Winter Coat Drive(Opens in new window) to benefit students and their families at SF's Little School.
The SF community can vote for the SFPD once a day, every day now through Friday, March 25, at https://riseawards.us.launchpad6.com/agency2022/entry/190(Opens in new window). The top 10 finalists with the most votes in each category will then be reviewed by a panel of judges and the winners will be selected by early April and announced at the Axon Accelerate conference the following month.
