Although the Santa Fe College Police Department (SFPD)(Opens in new window) provides several services to the students, faculty and staff to increase safety at the college, safety is a shared responsibility. The SFPD, located in Building T on the Northwest Campus, is open 24/7/365 to serve the college community. They also provide dedicated officers to all SF centers.
To increase safety, and to provide quick and accurate information, students are encouraged to download the Safe Santa Fe app(Opens in new window) for emergency notices and other important safety information.
Although the college strives to maintain a safe environment, there is always the potential for dangerous situations to arise. Students interested in learning more about how to handle myriad situations that may occur, can review the college's Emergency Procedures(Opens in new window) that includes a six-minute video called "Run, Hide, Fight"(Opens in new window) that covers what you can do if there is an active shooter event.
If you need to contact the SFPD for an emergency situation, call 352-395-5555 or dial 911. For any other police business or a nonemergency, you can call 352-395-5519.
