Increased Risk of Severe Weather Across the Region Today

The National Weather Service-Jacksonville(Opens in new window) is reporting that there is an increased risk of severe storms across the Santa Fe College service district this evening. Although the weather may start to change around 3 p.m., the storm squall line should pass through the area between 7-11 p.m. bringing the potential for damaging winds and hail across the local area. There is also an increased risk for isolated tornadoes. The rain and winds should dissipate overnight and Tuesday's forecast is calling for sunshine and cooler temperatures.
Students, faculty and staff should be aware of the threat.
