ST. PETE HANGS ON TO DEFEAT SANTA FE, 80-75
Clearwater, FL – In the last contest of 2013, the Santa Fe Saints fought hard for 40 minutes against a tough St. Petersburg College team but came up just short, falling to the Titans by five in their gym.
The Saints (5-10) trailed by three at the half, 41-38, and could never quite completely close the gap. SF showed vast improvement from their first meeting with SPC when they lost 74-48 on November 15 in Ocala.
Jocelyn Mousty led SF scores with 20 points and seven rebounds, Jaquasha Sesler had 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Tatian Manuel had 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Saints will take a few days off before starting Mid-Florida Conference play against defending champions Florida State College-Jacksonville at home on January 4 at 2:00 PM. The game will be broadcast on www.ihigh.com/santafesaints
