Earth Day Celebrations Feature Movies and More

Saints for Sustainability and Student Life are co-hosting a celebration on Earth Day, Monday, April 22 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Oak Grove. Along with food, drinks and entertainment, the event will feature
- the Sustainable Santa Fe announcement of the Student Sustainability Poster, Art and Film Competition winners
- a Brazilian paper folding activity led by Dr. Regiani Zacarias
- Freecycle Donation Day from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
The Adults with Disabilities creative crafters will hold their annual Earth Day WE UP-cycle sale 10 a.m. – noon in the P-Breezeway and 1 – 4 p.m. in G-32. Items for sale include geeky keyboard jewelry, plastic bottle bird feeders, cute bottle cap pins and more.
The Sustainable Santa Fe Spring Film Series features "Cane Toads" at 6 p.m. in WA-104, along with the Student Sustainability Competition entries slideshow.
"Of Thirst, Beauty and Vision: Writing to Save Our Waters" will honor four of Gainesville's Florida Book Award winners and the recipient of the premier Vision Award of Florida's Eden, at 7 p.m. Monday, April 22 in E Auditorium.
