poorly.
Rape Aggression Defense Classes at Santa Fe College Teach Important Lesson
Class Instructor, Shawn Pagel explains, "We would get lots of calls from women or
from husbands asking if we had a self defense that we could teach the women and the
answer was always no. So I went in search of something we could offer the community."
Community College Program for Students Over 50
Career consultants often urge 50-somethings to head back to college so they can learn
skills that will make them stronger job candidates, especially in the current economy,
with the unemployment rate for Americans 55-and-up a steep 6.2 percent.
Job fairs set for Saturday and Sept. 11
Two local job fairs are scheduled in the coming days, one on Saturday at Santa Fe
College and another at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in northeast Gainesville
on Sept. 11.
