Professor Heidi Lannon told her geography students at Santa Fe College they should use less water at the start of the year to be more green – and help save some green.
"Education," she says, "goes well beyond the textbook."
Santa Fe College tries to live that mission, instituting sustainability into the curriculum, construction and community efforts. Lannon, an associate professor of geography, says the college aims to track how sustainability is taught in its courses.
