The cast and and crew of Traveling, the Theatre Santa Fe Fall production, is spearheading an effort to fundraisers for the Gainesville Area Aids Project (GAAP).
The donations site is on the Northwest campus in E-105 and accepts items from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The necessities are then taken to GAAP for the "Tree Project" from now until Saturday, Nov. 1.
The Traveling Performances from Oct. 21 to Oct. 24, playing at 8 p.m. in the E Auditorium, also serve as a collection site, with the evening performance on Oct. 24 also donating the admissions, and any other cash donations, to GAAP.
The following is a list of items needed by the TREE program (The Replenishment of Everyday Essentials), a service GAAP provides:
-
Laundry detergent and fabric softener
-
Shampoo and body wash or soap
-
Shaving cream and disposable razors
-
Toothpaste and dental floss
-
Bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towels, adult diapers, and baby wipes
-
Household cleaning supplies (toilet cleaner, scouring powder, tub and tile cleaner, etc)
-
Antibacterial hand sanitizer and bleach
