September 21, 2024 – Here's some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- Schedule a free ultrasound screening for either Sept. 27 or Oct. 25: Santa Fe College's Cardiovascular Sonography Program is offering free ultrasound screenings of the heart and carotid arteries for Fall 2024.
- Join President Broadie for informal employee coffee chats this fall: These meetings will give employees a chance to share their input, ideas and suggestions to benefit the college community.
- The new Park and Ride location at SF enhances Gator game days: This location joins other convenient spots, including the UF Park and Ride #2 and Celebration Pointe.
- SF's free "Winds & Classics" concert features patriotic hits on Oct. 10: The Santa Fe College Music Ensembles will open their Fall 2024-2025 concert season with an event featuring 15 student musicians under the musical direction of Dr. David Smith.
- This year's Student Affairs Symposium will be held on Oct. 11 in the Lyceum: Vice President Naima Brown will introduce keynote speaker Dr. Ladonna Young to discuss "Mindsets Matter: The How Behind the What."
- The Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce will host the Veterans Appreciation Awards on Oct. 29: To recognize and celebrate exceptional individuals and businesses making a positive impact, everyone is encouraged to submit nominations for these prestigious awards.
- Donate sustainable palm oil candy for Boo at the Zoo: Donations of individually wrapped, unopened candy are encouraged, with each bag labeled with the donor's name, department, and phone number.
