Student Life is Hiring Student Assistants

Student Life is seeking Student Assistants to support the department mission and assist staff with programs and services.

Some offices have both educational aid and federal work study (FAFSA required) positions available.

Student Life Front Desk - ed aide

Services includes Student ID Card issuance, customer service, and Rec Room support.

Shifts needed are 4:30 pm - 8 pm Monday - Thursday and Tuesday and Thursday 8 am - 1 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing visitors.
  • Assist in the issuance of ID cards.
  • Receive and process departmental paperwork.
  • Accept, screen, and route telephone calls concerning activities and operations of the office, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing information.
  • Monitor Discord server, Recreation Room, and Esports Lounge access.
  • Check-in/out Recreation Room equipment.
  • Deliver items on campus as needed.
  • Assist with projects as required (i.e. prepare marketing materials for distribution and/or removal; create spreadsheets, event set-up, etc.).
  • Assist other staff as requested.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Student Activities - ed aide and work-study

Student Activities hosts educational and social programming for the student body. Most programs and activities are hosted outside.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Running stations and activities at Student Life events (i.e. handing out food, spin wheel activities, trivia, craft activities, etc.)
  • Assist in set-up and break-down of events.
  • Assist with projects as required (i.e. prepare marketing materials for distribution and/or removal; future event brainstorming; surveying students; etc.).
  • Assist other staff as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Student Engagement Center - ed aide and work-study

Center promotes involvement and development of individual students and student-run organizations. Hours for student workers will be selected primarily from the hours of 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday with occasional evening or weekend hours potentially made available as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing students.
  • Accept, screen, and route telephone calls concerning activities and operations of the office, directing inquiries as appropriate and/or providing information.
  • Connect students with opportunities and resources on campus.
  • Support Center activities and programs; Monitor activities and equipment and assist with enforcement of rules and policies.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
