July 19, 2024 – Santa Fe College students recently returned from a Study Abroad experience in Spain. They immersed themselves in Spain's vibrant culture, staying in the picturesque city of Valencia. The program included exciting weekend excursions to Madrid, Barcelona, and Toledo.
The group arrived at Valencia airport on May 19. They explored significant cultural landmarks such as the City Hall, Ceramic Museum and Lonja de la Seda. The following days included a trip to Madrid and Toledo, featuring guided tours and free time to explore both cities.
Upon returning to Valencia, the itinerary continued with visiting Jardín Botánico and a bike tour. The group also engaged in Spanish classes, an Albufera boat ride, a flamenco class and a tapas dinner. They also visited Barcelona where they toured the City of Arts and Sciences and Torres de Serranos.
The itinerary concluded with a paella cooking course, a Chufa Route tour, and the group's departure from Valencia on June 16.
