June 21, 2024 – Santa Fe College presented the board-approved 2024-2025 budget to the college community yesterday. Following the presentation, there was a brief Q&A session to address the details from the presentation.

The budget was prepared using feedback from SF's College Senate, Career Service Council, and Salary and Benefits Committee. This budget considers the need for the College to remain on stable financial footing well into the future while still providing competitive salaries to recruit and retain faculty and staff.

Presentation highlights include:

  • SF will continue to pay 100% of employee premiums.
  • SF will continue to provide employees $600 to offset health care costs.
  • Spring Break 2025 will align with the University of Florida and the Alachua County School System's breaks, running March 17 through March 23, 2025.
  • The college will be closed Wednesday, November 27, giving employees a longer Thanksgiving break and an additional paid holiday.
  • All employees will get a 1.5% salary increase.
