How Can a Scholarship Help Students?
Scholarships offer a fantastic chance to earn a valuable education without the burden of debt. These awards are given to students based on various criteria like financial need and personal achievements. Best of all, scholarships are essentially free money. You never have to pay them back!
SF graduate Samantha Long was encouraged to apply for the Women's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarship. Winning this scholarship sparked her dream of opening her own garage.
"It'll be a little shop where I can work on cars and trucks," Long said. "My daughter can hang out there after school, too."
This financial opportunity allowed Long to overcome monetary hardships and earn her A.A.S. in Automotive Service Management Technology.
"I feel like the college really wants its students to succeed," Long said.
