May 4, 2024 – Here's some Santa Fe College news you might have missed:
- The Santa Fe College Graphic Design Student Exhibition happened May 2: It was an evening of creativity where the work of our graphic design graduates was presented on multiple media displays.
- SF is transitioning Title IX coordination: Beginning Monday, April 29, Alejandra Fernandez, Victim Advocate Specialist for the College, will serve as interim Title IX Coordinator and will assume responsibility for receiving complaints regarding Title IX and discrimination and harassment under Rule 2.8.
- SF Emergency Management seeks new Building Safety Ambassadors: The classes are scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 11.
- SF Achieve Signings begin May 14: These events are where many students begin their college journeys.
- Elevators at many college locations will be serviced beginning next week: For each date of service, the elevator will be inaccessible for the entirety of the day.
- Library and Coffee 101's intersession and summer hours have been posted: Check the Library Hours page for current information.
- SF's chapter of the AFC hosted a legislative update last Friday: Stay up to date with how the bills affect Santa Fe College at sfcollege.edu/news.
- SF opened its search for the next VP for Advancement: Information about the search is available online at sfcollege.edu/hr/.
- New Student Preview Days are coming soon: Students can join breakout rooms for conversations with Admissions Advisers, Student Ambassadors, Academic Coaches and other SF representatives.
- The TimelyCare app upgraded its services for student success: TimelyCare Success Coaches will be available via the app on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to help students.
- World Tree Kangaroo Day at the SF Teaching Zoo is May 18: Our zookeepers will be out to give keeper talks, introduce you to some of our animal ambassadors, and hosting tree kangaroo themed crafts and games.
- Dance Theatre of Santa Fe will present "Room to Dance" June 7-8: A question-and-answer "talkback" between the audience and the student choreographers will follow each performance.
